Our panel of guests will discuss the conception and creation of “America to Zanzibar: Muslim Cultures Near and Far,” sharing details on research, goals, and public reaction to the exhibit. The exhibit’s curator, Lizzy Martin, director of exhibition development and museum planning at the Children’s Museum of Manhattan, will be joined by Hussein Rashid, lead exhibit advisor; Anne Karabon, assistant professor of early childhood and STEM education at the University of Nebraska at Omaha and Omaha Children’s Museum board member; and Nuzhat Mahmood, secretary of the American Muslim Institute board of directors.
